New York-based Russian-born singer and actor YaYa (Yakov Yavno) announces plans to expand his performance schedule in the United States and throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas.
YaYa presents his powerful baritone via showcases ranging in size from intimate cabaret-style acts to large-scale events suitable for concert halls and stadiums. His solo show, “Creative Encounters”, intersperses a musical program with faces of the artist’s journey from Russia to America, and his nightclub act features instrumental combos of various sizes and configurations integrating story telling and philosophical discussions. His one man shows “Revelations” and “Songs of Our Soul” are reflective of this. Yavno’s full-scale presentation entitled “The Road Home” incorporates an orchestra with choirs and contemporary dancers, as well as cameos by well-known guests from the countries in which he performs.
Already a beloved headliner around the globe, YaYa sings in many languages, including French, Spanish, Russian, Yiddish and English. He has also achieved notable success in other arenas: stage presentations, films and recordings. Yakov incorporates folk, pop and classical music into his contemporary arrangements. In so doing, he paints an eclectic canvas; a reflection of today’s world.
